Spring might be just around the corner, but Miley Cyrus has her eyes on summer. Today, the singer released her highly anticipated new record Endless Summer Vacation.
The new full-length, her eight studio album over, is out today on Columbia Records, and it includes the standout lead single "Flowers," which debuted back in January. The song is now Cyrus's longest-running No. 1 hit after surpassing "Wrecking Ball" with a slew of streaming numbers.
The new album comes with a new video for the single "River," also out today, and it includes a pair of recently announced guest features from Brandi Carlile and Sia.
“When it comes to the sequencing of Endless Summer Vacation, I divided it by two parts: AM and PM—to kind of represent almost like an act," says Cyrus. "The AM to me is representing the morning time, where there is a buzz and an energy and there’s potential of new possibilities. It’s a new day. And in the nighttime, it feels like there is a slinky, seediness and kind of a grime, but a glamour at the same time."
She continues: "In the evening, it’s a great time for rest, a time to recover – or it’s a time to go out and experience the wild side. Los Angeles, there is a certain energy to the night that you can kind of feel trouble boil up to the surface, and it is very inspiring to me.”
