It's been a long time coming, but Jay Electronica's debut album is finally here.

The long-awaited record, titled A Written Testimony, arrived at midnight on Friday, having been teased by Jay for over a decade. Fans had been watching out for weeks, after he shared on Twitter on Feb. 7 his record was coming "in 40 days." He said the project was "recorded over 40 days and 40 nights, starting from Dec. 26."

Jay-Z, who signed Jay Electronica to his own Roc Nation 10 years, had been rumored to be on the album after the two were seen in the studio together. Last month, Jay Electronica confirmed the appearance on Twitter, saying it was "highway robbery" that he could get Mr. Carter to be on his debut.

In addition to Jay-Z, the likes of Travis Scott, James Blake and The-Dream are also featured, along with production from Swizz Beatz, Hit-Boy, the Alchemist, No I.D. and others.

While Jay Electronica has kept fans waiting for years, he hasn't been completely silent during that time, appearing on other artists' tracks and even releasing a song inspired by Kevin Durant back in 2017.
