Glass Animals is back with new music.
The band on Wednesday released their new single "Your Love (Déjà vu)," which is the first preview of their upcoming third album. And according to frontman Dave Bayley, it's a "conflicted booty-call anthem," drawing heavy influence from the likes of Timbaland and The Neptunes, it still maintains that trademark Glass Animals wooziness.
“I think we’ve all found ourselves in fucked up relationships that make us feel sad and helpless," says Bayley. "Not necessarily something romantic—maybe it’s with a family member or a friend. A relationship that we know on some level is going to keep breaking our hearts. We let that person back into their lives over and over again, even though it always ends the same ... Maybe you think you deserve that unhappiness. Or maybe you find some strange comfort in the chaos.”
The new music comes nearly four years after the release of Glass Animals' last album, 2016's How to Be a Human Being. It also follows the surprise news last week of their North American tour, which sold out in a matter of minutes.
