Purity Ring is back!
The duo made up of Megan James and Corin Roddick returned Tuesday with their new song "stardew." It's the lead track off their upcoming album Womb, which they also confirmed today will be out April 3 via 4AD. It will be their first album in five years.
While the gap between albums might seem long, the duo anticipated the wait. That's why they released standalone track "Asido" back in 2017, which was also a busy year for them, having co-written multiple tracks on Katy Perry's album Witness and joining the singer on her subsequent tour.
When they released "Asido," they acknowledged they were "[working] at our own pace" on the new record. "Thank you for both your kindness and your patience," they said the day it was released. "Have a graceful outrageous day."
