Back in September, Metronomy released their new album Metronomy Forever, which was esssentially flawless, but it seems they had more music up their sleeves at the time.

The U.K. outfit over the weekend shared a previously unreleased track called "Up, Higher," which was recorded during the sessions for the new album but didn't make the final project for various reasons. It's now be released as an Amazon Music exclusive.

"'Up, Higher' was one of the first tracks written for Metronomy Forever, then it was culled from the final selection," says band leader Joseph Mount. "Which seems strange now as it’s such a jam. It was a track we played live on our last U.S. tour, so it’s nice to have it out there in the world now."
