Emerging Danish trio Scarlet Pleasure is back with new music. But it's a little different from some of their previous releases.

The new track, titled "What a Life," is an admittedly anti-fascist pop cut about a generation high on life—and other substances. Inspired by Italian folk song "Bella Ciao," it tells the story of someone constantly looking for "the beautiful life."

Scarlet Pleasure, which has been a Variance favorite for some time, is made up of vocalist-instrumentalist Emil Goll, bassist Alexander Malone and drummer Joachim Dencker.
