Ariana Grande has returned. And the wait was worth it.

The singer had been teasing her new single "No Tears Left to Cry" for several days, but the track finally arrived at midnight on Friday, with a stunning accompanying video directed by Dave Meyers, who has frequently worked with Kendrick Lamar as well as the likes of SZA, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj.

"No Tears" is a seemingly perfect pop creation, all at once sounding crisp and fresh, yet classic and familiar. It's the first preview of Grande's upcoming album, her followup to 2016's Dangerous Woman.
