After a standout appearance at SXSW last month, New York outfit The Drums have released a video for their airy new single "Blood Under My Belt."
The song is the first from their upcoming fourth album, "Abysmal Thoughts”, which arrives on June 16. And the bright and colorful new clip, directed by CYCY Sanders, is the perfect accompaniment.
“I hate making music videos," frontman Jonny Pierce said of the new offering. "But, alas, sometimes you need to feed the beast, and I decided to make a music video that explores some visual fetishes of mine—mainly sportswear and a new exploration of colors that I've long loved but hadn't been a part of the band’s aesthetic until now."
He added: "I love this new era of The Drums because I'm allowed to express exactly what I want and take it all the way.”
