Known for his work on Broadway and in the New York City nightlife scene, Tim Young is now making waves for his solo releases, with his most recent being the powerful and emotional “Supernova.” Reminiscing on a past relationship, Young remembers it’s exciting and intense beginning, spanning right to it’s unfortunate downfall.

The songwriter shares, “I had one of those relationships that burned hot and fast, breaking up and getting back together over and over again, until it ultimately imploded on itself. He used to own a flower shop, and one day while we were walking around the city, he pointed out a bouquet of Supernovas. That word stuck in my head; it felt like us. A supernova is the death of a star, an explosion creating one of the most brilliant, brightest events in the universe, leaving behind a husk, a monument to what once was.”

This epic ballad features simply just piano, strings and the artist’s soaring vocals, creating the perfect recipe for a song that tugs at every heart string. Evoking a profound and all-encompassing ambience, the poignant “Supernova” needs to be the new addition to your “feels” playlist.
