Newcomer Amavit is preparing to share his debut single on Friday.

The addictive new track, titled "Stay," is premiering today on Variance ahead of its official release, showcasing a fusion of fluttering production with R&B-leaning pop. 

"I wanted to express my frustration with how time likes to work against us," says Chicago native Amavit. "I’ve had relationships that don’t get a chance to mature because of life’s changes and saying goodbye to so many people has been difficult. I also wanted to articulate the other reality that us humans tend to live in when we are in love. Not noticing the red flags that our peers see."

Drawing inspiration from the likes of 070 Shake, Louis the Child and PARTYNEXTDOOR, Amavit has more music in the works, with "Stay" being the first of his new material coming this year.
