Emerging singer Jayde is currently preparing to release a new EP and today she is previewing it with her massive new single "Electricity," which is accompanied by an equally emotional video.

The stirring clip is premiering today on Variance ahead of the official release on Friday. It comes as the Ontario-based artist has been working on her sophomore EP.

"'Electricity' was born out of a heatwave, broken by a rainstorm like I had never seen before," says Jayde. "I developed the song with my producer in Montreal, playing around on an old upright piano. At the time, I was going through a phase in my relationship that I wasn’t entirely conscious of. My subconscious took over my lyric writing and the words poured out of me. 'Electricity' was the conduit to writing about my internalized emotions, which I could feel the weight of."
