Despite a number of A-list performers on hand and Taylor Swift's Album of the Year win, Monday night's 58th Grammy Awards attracted the lowest viewership in six years.

Including viewers in all time zones, the Grammys drew 24.95 million viewers and a 7.7 rating in the coveted 18-49 demo, marking a 9.4% slump from last year and the lowest demo numbers since 2009, when 19 million tune in.

Nonetheless, last night's telecast was the highest-rated of anything else on television Monday and is also the largest audience for a non-sports program this season—until the Academy Awards later this month.

This year's Grammy ratings were bound to be closely watched as the awards shifted from its long-held Sunday airing to a Monday night because of the holiday weekend. It was also the first year the ceremony aired live from coast-to-coast.

The good news for the Recording Academy and CBS is that Presidents' Day is the third week in February in 2017, suggesting the Grammys will be able to move back to a Sunday, Feb. 12.
