The National is taking a bigger leap into the festival space by launching their own fest in their hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The band on Thursday announced the Homecoming Festival, in association with MusicNOW, which is set to launch on April 28-29 at Cincinnati's Smale Park in addition to venues throughout the city. It will include two main stages featuring 20 artists, with The National performing "two completely different shows over two evenings."

This is hardly the band's first venture into festivals, as the MusicNOW Festival, also in Cincinatti, was created by Bryce Dessner. Meanwhile, he and his brother and bandmate Aaron Dessner also curate Copenhagen's Haven festival, and Aaron also co-curates the Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival in Wisconsin alongside Bon Iver's Justin Vernon.

While the Homecoming lineup won't be revealed until next year, weekend passes go on sale Friday (Dec. 15) at 10 a.m. EST.

To celebrate the festival news, The National has also shared a new video for the title track of their latest album Sleep Well Beast, which was recently nominated for Best Alternative Album at next month's 60th Annual Grammy Awards. The Casey Reas and Graham MacIndoe-directed clip can be seen below.
