It's once again the time of year when festival organizers remind us warmer weather is coming by revealing their lineup.
CounterPoint Music Festival outside of Atlanta is no exception, having last week revealed a lineup consisting of Zedd, The Roots, Kygo, Dillon Francis, RL Grime, Knife Party, Chet Faker, Robert DeLong, Travi$ Scott and a number of other Variance favorites.
Missing from the lineup, however, is a single female act, as Claire Schlissel of New York DJ-producer duo The Jane Doze pointed out over the weekend.
Not a single female act on @cntrpntmusic's lineup this year. @cntrpntmusic this is not ok. #ChangeTheRatio pic.twitter.com/a07hIosg18

It's definitely a sturdy roster and it's worth noting this is only the fest's second outing since its hiatus in 2013, but last year's comeback featured the likes of Janelle Monáe, Krewella, Matt & Kim, Phantogram, Sleigh Bells and other acts prominently featuring women. So surely a budget that allows for Zedd and The Roots has room for more.
We reached out to CounterPoint for comment but have yet to hear back.
