Proving first-year festivals can make quite the entrance, Birmingham, Alabama's Sloss Music & Arts Festival has recruited Modest Mouse; Band of Horses; Tyler, the Creator; Cage the Elephant and Young the Giant for its inaugural event on July 18-19.

In addition to promising "another major headlining act" to be announced soon, the lineup will also consist of Purity Ring, Manchester Orchestra, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Robert DeLong, Big Gigantic, Sturgill Simpson, The New Pornographers, Lord Huron, First Aid Kit, Manchester Orchestra, Cathedrals and Milo Greene.

Although a handful of other acts will be added to the roster in the coming weeks, tickets for the fest go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m CST.
