After months of debate and speculation, Coachella producer Goldenvoice is indeed moving forward with Panorama Festival, its sister festival in New York City.

Organizers confirmed Monday night Panorama will take place July 22-24 at Randall's Island Park, the same location as senior New York fest Governors Ball, which only last week announced the stellar lineup for its sixth year.

Panorama is described as "three days of music, art, technology, and local food offerings," with Goldenvoice producer Mark Shulman saying in a statement: "We're committed to creating an event that will provide significant benefits to New York City with the level of experience and meticulous attention to detail for which Goldenvoice is known."

The dates for the new fest are a month later than originally planned, perhaps after complaints and petitions suggesting Panorama might create conflict with Governors Ball, which is scheduled for June 3-5.

Shulman said Goldenvoice will continue efforts to work with NYC Parks on eventually bringing Panorama to Queens' Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, where it had intended to host this year's event.
