modernlove. is already having quite the year, but they're planning to stay busy over the next few months, as the band explained while chatting with Variance during SXSW 2023 in Austin.

The four-piece spent much of the month of April on their first North American tour, which started with a flurry of shows at SXSW. In between the chaos of the festival, the band sat down with us to talk about being in the States, their plans to eventually put out an album and their dream collaborations, if the stars aligned (with the likes of PinkPantheress, James Blake or The Japanese House.)

"We've gone from a lot of different sounds over the course of three EPs," says singer Barry Lally. "We really want to make the album as concise as possible."

Speaking of EPs, modernlove. recently released their latest one, Nightlife, which is out now.
