The 2022 festival landscape is really starting to come together. The latest sign of the more robust return of live music expected next year is the announcement from BUKU Music + Art Project, which has confirmed its grand return to the Big Easy next March.
This will actually be the beloved New Orleans fest's first edition in three years, as its usual early spring slot on the calendar made it unfeasible due to the pandemic, which forced the fest to scrap its 2020 event in the early days of the COVID outbreak as well as the 2021 edition due to the ongoing health crisis.
Next year's event, which will mark BUKU's 10-year anniversary, will be headlined by the likes of Tyler, the Creator, Tame Impala, Porter Robinson and Alison Wonderland, with additional performers including favorites such as Glass Animals, Kali Uchis, Vince Staples, $UICIDEBOY$, Baby Keem, Trippie Redd, Maxo Kream, Tierra Whack, 100 gecs, Bas and more.
BUKU Music + Art Project, which will take place March 25-26, is typically one of the first prominent music festivals to usher in the season, which will likely be a very busy one next year as other festivals such as SXSW, Coachella and Bonnaroo also make long-awaited returns following their own in-person hiatus in 2020 and 2021.
Registration for ticket pre-sales is open now, with pre-sale starting on Dec. 17 before the general on-sale date on Dec. 20.
