Tiana Major9 is making cosmic moves this week as she celebrates the release of her incredible Fool Me Once EP, which is out today.

The East London-born Jamaican R&B singer is already having a big year. The new project includes her "2 seater" collaboration featuring Smino, and the EP's release comes as Tiana is currently on the road supporting none other than Jazmine Sullivan on her Heaux Tales Tour.

We chatted with Tiana about her brilliant new project, as well as her future plans.

Check out the Q+A and the full EP now.

Congrats on the EP. What is the meaning behind the title, Fool Me Once?

The title Fool Me Once is a prelude to my album title. it's about my journey and experiences with understanding love. As you have probably noticed, I like to play with numbers in my project titles. When the album title is announced it will all make sense!

How did the Smino collaboration come about?

My A&R hit me and was like, “Do you want to do a session with Smino,” and I said, “Yes, of course.” I'm a fan of his music, I think he’s dope. Then we had the session in L.A. and it was soo easy. We got on well; the session was easy and free-flowing. It was Lit! We ate sushi in the studio. I finished it in the U.K. with my main producer Prgrshn, which was another sick day.

The details in your videos definitely stand out, like how the old red convertible is tied in. How important have the visuals been for this project?

I really wanted to have fun in the "2 seater" video. I wanted the video to reflect how much fun Smino and I had in the studio while also making the visual clean, colourful and vibrant.

With "Try Peace"... It was more about evoking the emotion in the song. I really enjoyed shooting this one!

What has it been like on the road with Jazmine? (And on the road in general—and in-person!)

It's been great so far. There’s been a lot of challenges as Covid has interfered yet again; however, the days that we have been able to perform in different cities have been amazing. The cities we have seen have been really fun and also a cultural learning experience for me. I’m so grateful that my music allows me to see America.

What’s your biggest goal for the rest of this year?

Releasing my album and performing it across the world on my own tour!
