Rock legend Chuck Berry has died.

St. Charles County Police in Missouri confirmed his death on Saturday. He was 90.

Berry's biggest hit was the 1972 single “My Ding-a-Ling," but his career spanned back into the '50s with songs such as “Maybelline,” “Roll Over Beethoven" and “Johnny B. Goode."

When Berry was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, Stones guitarist Keith Richards had the highest praise for the music icon, declaring he “lifted every lick” from Berry.
