It's going to be a different kind of "Saturday Night Live" for Leslie Jones, who will be making her on-air debut tonight during NBC's late night Olympics coverage, the network has confirmed.

The Saturday Night Live cast member will make her first appearance during Ryan Seacrest's late (or early) coverage, which begins just after midnight at 12:35 a.m. EST. The details of her on-screen role were not immediately clear.

After her passionate and hilarious commentary on social media during the first days of the Olympic Games, NBC invited the comedian to Rio as one of the network's guests.

Since arriving in Brazil, Jones has been actively cheering Team USA from the stands and sidelines, documenting her experience, including watching Michael Phelps' 22nd gold medal win; meeting Simone Biles and watching her historic golden moment; and met Matthew McConaughey, who is also in Rio for the Games.
