Aerosmith is plotting a farewell tour for next year, frontman Steven Tyler has confirmed.

"I love this band, I really do. And I want to squash every thought that anybody might have about this," Tyler said during an interview Tuesday with Howard Stern. "We're doing a farewell tour, but only because it's time. We've never done that."

Tyler is currently promoting his new solo country album We're All Somebody From Somewhere, which releases next month.

The singer suggested he hasn't ruled out a final studio record for the band, as this November will mark four years since the release of their last album, Music from Another Dimension!.
