Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Score Second No. 1 With 'Can't Hold Us,' Make History

It was inevitable. And we love it. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' second single, "Can't Hold Us," featuring Ray Dalton, moves this week from second place to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, following the pair's previous chart-topper, "Thrift Shop," featuring Wanz. This makes them the first duo to take its first two singles to No. 1 in the Hot 100's 54-year history, according to Billboard.

The duo currently has a third single, "Same Love," featuring Mary Lambert, which is also climbing the charts, despite only being promoted to alternative radio, for the time being. "Love" also moves up this week, 30-26 on Alternative Songs and 94-83 on the Hot 100.

Macklemore & Lewis is the first act to send its first two charted Hot 100 singles to No. 1 since Lady Gaga arrived with "Just Dance" (three weeks on top) and "Poker Face" (one) in 2009.
