Rap maintains its hold on the Billboard crown this week, as Wale scores his first No. 1 album with The Gifted. The album moved 158,000 copies this past week to give the MC his first chart-topper on the Billboard 200 albums tally.

Last week's No. 1 album, Kanye West's Yeezus, shifts to No. 3 with a drop of 80%, selling 65,000. That means J. Cole's Born Sinner moves up to pass West at No. 2 with 84,000 units sold. The two rappers are now within 11,000 albums of each other, with West leading. Hypothetically, if Cole were to maintain steady sales, it may not be long before Born Sinner passes Yeezus in total sales. Only time will tell.
