Rainn Wilson Lands Book Deal, Promises to Write About 'Art, Faith & Comedy'

Rainn Wilson, who earlier this year wrapped nine seasons playing Dwight Schrute on NBC’s The Office, has landed a book deal with Dutton, an imprint of Penguin Random House. Although officially being called a "memoir," the actor hesitates to call it that.

"The guy who is best known for playing a paper salesman with a bad haircut, tweeting fart jokes and starting a quirky spirituality website does not merit a ‘memoir,’’ he said in a statement. "For the time being, let’s call it a Serio-Comic Examination of my Life in Art, Faith and Comedy. And beets.”

The book is planned for a fall 2014 release.
