Frank Ocean Forced to Cancel Australian Tour Dates Due to Vocal Cord Tear

Sorry, Australia, but Frank Ocean will be unable to fulfill his scheduled tour dates this month. According to Billboard, doctors have diagnosed the singer as having a vocal cord tear, forcing him to cancel a Friday night performance in Melbourne and his two-night residency next week at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.

Ocean reportedly struggled throughout a performance Thursday night in Melbourne, telling the crowd, "I'm sick ... I don't wanna speak much tonight, but I do want to thank you guys. He powered through to the end of his set, but Live Nation on Facebook this morning "confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal chords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice."

At press time, only these three Australia dates have been affected.
