John Mayer's long-awaited new album, Paradise Valley, will include two very notable—although not surprising—guest appearances when it releases on Aug. 20.
His on-again-off-again girlfriend Katy Perry and his friend/recent collaborator Frank Ocean are both included on the record, Mayer's sixth studio effort.
Perry is featured on a country-leaning track titled "Who You Love," while, as Rolling Stone points out, Ocean's voice will be heard on a brief, poetic track called "Wildfire."
Mayer previously played on Ocean's Channel Orange cut, "Pyramids," even joining him onstage for his Saturday Night Live performance. As for Perry, Mayer told the audience last month at Milwaukee's Summerfest: "She was so patient" and took the time "to continue to get to know me and love me" while he suffered from vocal issues. This will mark their first musical collaboration.
