Despite ongoing reports that Kanye West has a love-hate relationship with his girlfriend's family, the rapper has taped an interview with Kim Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, for her talk show.

The reality star matriarch is set to conclude a six-week trial run of her show, Kris, so it makes sense that she's saved the big guns for her finale, which airs this Friday (Aug. 23).

According to Entertainment Weekly, who obtained the photo seen left, West talks about his two-month-old daughter North, his love for Kim and his rocky relationship with the press—of which he rarely grants interviews, much less televised ones.

The interview comes at a great time for all involved parties, as Jenner waits to learn the fate of her talk show and West prepares for his upcoming MTV VMA performance this Sunday (Aug. 25).
