The BET Hip-Hop Awards nominations are out, and Kendrick Lamar leads with 14 nods. Drake (13) and J. Cole (10) follow closely behind.

“It’s a privilege to be a part of it,” said Kendrick regarding the nominations announcement. “For the most part, BET always acknowledges my talent and I always hold that as an honor, so I’m blessed.”

The Album of the Year category will certainly be one to watch, with Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d city going up against J. Cole’s Born Sinner, JAY Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, Nas’ Life is Good and Wale’s The Gifted.

Snoop Dogg is hosting this year's event, which will be held Sept. 28 at the Atlanta Civic Center and airing Oct. 15 at 8 p.m.
