Despite fierce competition from One Direction, Eminem's "The Monster," featuring Rihanna, has debuted at the top of the charts in the U.K.
Despite its 48-hour disadvantage against the rest of this week’s new singles (it released on Tuesday), Eminem and Rihanna’s latest collaboration pulled an upset, especially against One Direction, which had been leading the race all week with new single, "Story Of My Life."
The pair's last collaboration, 2010's "Love the Way You Lie," peaked at No. 2 on the U.K.'s Official Charts. Coincidentally, this marks the eighth No. 1 single for both Eminem and Rihanna.
