Following a breakthrough year for Macklemore, the Seattle MC took to Instagram on Friday to tell fans he and his partner-in-crime Ryan Lewis are back in the studio.

"Very happy to be back in the lab with this guy," Macklemore wrote alongside a photo of Lewis, who subsequently tweeted that it "feels so good to be in the studio again daily. im gettin on my weirdo sleep schedule again!!"

The news comes only weeks after the duo wrapped their international arena tour, although the rapper has previously said he'd be taking time off after the tour and eventually get back to recording, although he hasn't provided a strict timeline.

Up next for the duo is the GRAMMYs, where they're up for a string of awards, including Best New Artist, Song of the Year and Album of the Year. Their album, The Heist, is nominated for Best Rap Album, but Macklemore said in a new interview this week that he believes that honor should go to Kendrick Lamar.
