The American Music Awards revealed the 2014 nominations on Monday, and it's a rather strange mix.
Leading in total nominations is Iggy Azalea with six. The "Fancy" rapper is nominated for New Artist of the Year, Single of the Year (for "Fancy") and Artist of the Year, where she'll face Lorde, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry Luke Bryan, John Legend, One Direction, Eminem, Imagine Dragons and Beyoncé, the latter of whom scored only three nods.
Perry, Williams and Legend each nabbed five nominations, while Lorde garnered four.
Beyonce, Eminem, Imagine Dragons, One Direction and OneRepublic each earned three nominations.
In the New Artist category, Azalea is competing against Sam Smith, 5 Seconds of Summer, Bastille and Meghan Trainor.
Azalea will go up against Drake and Eminem in both the Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album categories.
Charli XCX, who is featured on "Fancy," has been announced as the first performer set to take the stage on Nov. 23 from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
