AC/DC Drummer Phil Rudd Charged with Hiring a Hitman for Murder

Phil Rudd, best known as the drummer for AC/DC, has been arrested and charged with attempting to hire a hitman for murder.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Rudd was arrested at his New Zealand home and was later released on bail. He is accused of trying to coordinate the murder of two men.

The names of the intended victims and the hitman were withheld by local police.

Rudd, who joined AC/DC in 1975, was dismissed from the band in 1983 and was reinstated in 1994.

The band is set to release their 16th album, Rock or Bust, on Dec. 2.
