For those patiently waiting for Kendrick Lamar's new album, it appears the forthcoming LP will be here at the latest by June.

The rapper revealed "the end is in sight," telling Billboard he's just putting some finishing touches on the record, which the publication confirmed is aiming to arrive in the first half of the year.

Lamar offered few details of the album, but he suggested the untitled track he performed last month for the final episode of The Colbert Report might not be included.

"I just like the energy" Lamar said of the track. "I didn't go on there to sell a single. I just did what I felt."
