D'Angelo will serve as musical guest for the Jan. 31 episode of Saturday Night Live, NBC revealed Tuesday.

J.K. Simmons, who is up for Best Actor at the Oscars for Whiplash, is set to host.

As we previously mentioned, the Jan. 24 episode will be hosted by Blake Shelton, who will also be the musical guest.
