HBO has renewed John Oliver's Last Week Tonight for a third and fourth season, the network revealed in a press release on Tuesday.

Like the current second season, which premiered earlier this month, the new seasons will consist of 35 episodes each. Season three will premiere in 2016, followed by a fourth season in 2017.

“We are incredibly proud to have John as part of the HBO family,” said HBO president of programming Michael Lombardo in a statement. “His unique ability to deliver socially significant commentary week after week, along with his innate comedic brilliance, puts John in a class by himself.”
