It was revealed on Wednesday the upcoming Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, will be released July 3 in Los Angeles, New York and London, followed by a wide release on July 10.
The film, which was directed by BAFTA award-winning director Asif Kapadia, will premiere this weekend at Cannes Film Festival. A specific U.S. debut had previously not been announced.

According to a press release, the doc is described as telling Winehouse's story "in her own words" and with "extensive unseen archive footage and previously unheard tracks, this strikingly modern, moving and vital film shines a light on the world we live in, in a way that very few can."
Winehouse passed away in July 2011 from alcohol poisoning. She was 27.
