New Girl star and McDonald's pitchman Max Greenfield has joined the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Hotel.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy tweeted on Monday that Greenfield, "like you've never seen him," would be "checking in to the hotel.…but not checking out," suggesting his character may not survive to the end of the season.
While it's currently unknown how many episodes Greenfield is slated for, it's likely the delay of New Girl's fifth season until 2016 gave him the flexibility to participate in the horror-thriller series.
Greenfield adds his name to an impressive roster that already includes Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Kathy Bates, Cheyenne Jackson, Angela Bassett, Chloe Sevigny, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson.
Murphy's own fall schedule is going to be full, with Hotel premiering on FX in October and the first season of horror-comedy series Scream Queens, which he co-created, debuting on Fox in September.
