Your upcoming weekend is now a bit brighter because Joywave has shared a shimmering new version of their infectious track "Somebody New," remixed by synth mastermind Jean-Philip Grobler (aka St. Lucia).
"Joywave supported us on our fall tour at the end of last year," Grobler said. "And each night I watched them play, I became a bigger and bigger fan. I actually asked them if I could remix one of their tracks, and I'm so glad they picked 'Somebody New.' I always found it interesting how the arrangement of the song was so rocking, but the melody was so dreamy, and so I felt like I should up the dreamyness ante with my remix."
Additionally, the band has announced a new string of fall tour dates, which will feature Australian pop outfit Alpine as support.
