Eric Church has released a surprise album titled Mr. Misunderstood.

Members of the country rocker's fan club, the Church Choir, on Tuesday began noticing packages containing vinyl and CD versions of the LP arriving in their mailboxes.

The set was largely unexpected because Church's last record, his critically acclaimed The Outsiders, arrived only in February of last year. The timing, however, isn't coincidental, as the singer is set to perform Wednesday night at the CMA Awards.

As of this afternoon, a formal announcement regarding the album has not been made and it is not yet available via digital retailers.
