This year's Oscar nominations were revealed Thursday morning, with few surprises.
Leonardo DiCaprio-starring The Revenant led the pack with 12 nominations amongst a sea of mostly white fellow nominees.
In addition to Revenant, seven other films received nods for Best Picture, including Mad Max: Fury Road, Bridge of Spies, Spotlight, The Big Short, The Martian, Brooklyn and Room.
Missing from the Best Picture race—and most of the major categories—are Straight Outta Compton and Carol, although the latter is nominated for Lead Actress Cate Blanchett.
With such racially diverse films as the Will Smith-led Concussion, Idris Elba's Beasts of No Nation and Creed out of the running, this year's will be the second consecutive ceremony honoring an all-white field of actors.
The Chris Rock-hosted Academy Awards are set for Feb. 28, airing live on ABC.
