Fear the Walking Dead's second season will premiere on April 10 at 9 p.m. EST, AMC confirmed Friday during the network's presentation at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
That's an earlier start than for its first season, which launched last August. As we previously reported, also unlike the first run of six episodes, the upcoming second round will consist of 15 episodes, split into two halves, with the second part debuting later in 2016.
The Walking Dead companion prequel series set a cable ratings record when it premiered with 10.1 million viewers tuning in—6.3 million in the coveted 18-49 demographic.
Last month, AMC confirmed production had begun on the show's second season in the Baja peninsula in Mexico.
