With a new album on the way, Vampire Weekend has now revealed plans for a North American tour.
Dubbed the Father of the Bride Tour, named after the band's forthcoming album, the trek will begin this June in Toronto. Tickets go on sale on Feb. 8, but a pre-sale will start on Feb. 5 for fans who pre-register.
As has become common for tours announced ahead of new records, every ticket purchase will include a copy of band's forthcoming album. Unlike some others who have followed that practice (which helps boost album sales numbers), Vampire Weekend will be including a physical CD not just a download.
The news follows last week's release of not one but two new songs, "Harmony Hall" and "2021," both of which will appear on the new album, marking the band's first in six years.
