Since this story was originally published, the band's publicist has confirmed McVie's return, telling Billboard that she "has indeed re-joined Fleetwood Mac and we are hoping to make an announcement about a possible tour."

Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood reportedly told attendees at a show in Maui over the weekend that keyboardist/vocalist Christine McVie would be rejoining the band.

Other members have previously downplayed the possibility, although she had rehearsed with the band at the end of 2013 and performed a handful of shows. It has been 16 years since McVie parted ways with the group.

"This is the worst kept secret there is," Fleetwood told the audience. "But Christine McVie will be rejoining Fleetwood Mac."

At press time, the band had not officially commented.
