Despite a number of media outlets running a story suggesting Adele's new album has been "confirmed" or "announced," it was too good to be true.

Complex first ran a story Tuesday night reporting the singer had "announced" her new album and a 2015 tour, citing a tweet from World Music Awards calling a tour and album "confirmed."

While Adele has in fact hinted that her album would likely be titled 25, we reached out to her label, which has noted that nothing is official regarding the singer's next LP. Additionally, Billboard has also quoted a rep for XL Recordings as saying there is "no truth in this."

Although it's unclear where the World Music Awards account initially received their information, it has been rumored that Adele may end up simply releasing her new album without notice, similar to Columbia Records labelmate Beyoncé.
