Legendary country music star George Strait bid farewell to an overflow crowd of about 105,000 fans on Saturday, surpassing the Dallas Cowboys' official capacity by 5,000 attendees.

The mega-sized crowd was also more than enough to topple the Rolling Stones' previous record for largest indoor concert, with 87,500 in attendance for their 1981 show at the Louisiana Superdome.

In what was the final tour stop of his career, the singer was joined by other country acts for a series of duets. Among those who took the custom-built stage were Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and Eric Church.

Strait has more gold and platinum records than any other music act with the exception of Elvis Presley and The Beatles, according to Billboard.
