Less than five months after its release, Travis Scott's "Butterfly Effect" has been certified platinum.
While the Recording Industry Association of America has yet to publish its latest certifications, Scott's label Epic Records confirmed the achievement in an email to Variance, with the accompanying image seen below.
"Butterfly Effect," which was a largely underrated summer jam, was released back in May. As of this writing, the track has surpassed 154,000,000 streams on Spotify and is sitting at No. 20 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
The platinum news comes as Travis Scott has been teasing a new album, AstroWorld, which is expected to arrive soon, perhaps before the end of the year.
