Just days before the start of Comic-Con, AMC has confirmed The Walking Dead will return on Oct. 22.

As we previously mentioned, the season 8 premiere will also mark its landmark 100th episode. The network shared the news today with the first key art for Dead as well as its spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead, which returns on Sept. 10.

Unfortunately, TWD did not also release a teaser clip, as it has done in previous years during Comic-Con. 

Fans at Comic-Con will still be getting a healthy dose of Dead, as planned panels will feature stars Andrew Lincoln, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Lennie James, Seth Gilliam, Alanna Masterson and Khary Payton, as well as some of the producers and creator Robert Kirkman.
