Just hours after releasing his new album Do What Thou Wilt., Ab-Soul said Friday he has also recorded new material for Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole's long-rumored collaborative album.

"There is [an album]. They got it," Ab-Soul confirmed during an appearance today on "The Breakfast Club" radio show. "They got something in the works. They been working on that motherfucker for awhile."

The emcee admitted he is still unsure if his verse will eventually make the cut, noting: “I don’t really know too much about it. I just hope they use my verse.”

While neither Cole nor Lamar have provided much more than hints about the joint record, they did surprise fans last year for a pair of Black Friday remixes of each other's songs.
