With eight months to go until SXSW 2017, the Austin festival on Monday announced a handful of its first speakers, including NBA legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Transparent creator Jill Soloway.

Johnson will be speaking during the Interactive portion of the fest, while Soloway will deliver a keynote speech as part of the Film schedule. The full SXSW announcement can be seen here.

The news comes as SXSW will open 2017 registration on Aug. 1, with next year's event set for March 10-19, 2017.
